Level 3 Diploma in Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is a popular treatment with women wanting pain relief and to feel supported at a time in their lives when lots of physical and emotional changes are taking place.

On this 1 day CPD course for Level 3 qualified massage therapists you get to learn an effective sidelying massage routine to really help pregnant clients to feel lighter and less stressed.

During the day you also explore health considerations in order to carry out treatments safely, and you receive guidance on how to market your services.

Pre-requisite
For L3+ Massage therapists or equivalent, upon booking, you will be asked to provide evidence of this. If you book and are not Level 3 qualified your place will be cancelled and refunded minus a £20 fee. You must be over 18 and fully fluent in English.

What type of qualification is this course?

The course is for therapists who are already Level 3 qualified (and evidence is required). Once you have a recognised Level 3 Massage qualification, you are qualified and insurable to carry out treatments on the public. Any other similar massage based CPD training you take such as this pregnancy massage course is in addition to this.

Who accredits the course?

The course is CPD Approved by Thinktree who are an Internationally Recognised Awarding Body. If you are already Level 3 or above qualified then the pregnancy massage course translates as a Level 3 course, as you will already have the relevant anatomy, physiology, pathology and health & safety plus body massage modules from your Level 3.

Can I work on pregnant clients after the course?

After doing the pregnancy course you can contact your insurers to ask them to add it to your policy to insure you to work with pregnant clients (after the first trimester which is standard for most insurance companies).

Can anyone do the course?

The course is only suitable if you are already trained in massage professionally. If you would like to learn pregnancy massage non-professionally (ie. for providing treatments to your partner, friends and family), you can book a private lesson which is held at Lakeland Wellbeing therapy centre in Keswick. Just get in touch via the contact page to discuss.

I’m pregnant, can I do the course?

If you are past the first trimester you can do the course. The practical element involves both providing and receiving massage.
