Lakeland Wellbeing

Lakeland Wellbeing is run by Jen Grange who offers events and retreats across the Lakes, guiding you to connect with yourself, and with nature, in a mindful and spiritual way, opening the door for you discover and reveal the inner wild you!

An example of the type of retreat Jen provides is the Wild Soul Sisters Retreat. A Two day camping event in Summer including yoga, foraging, forest bathing and a firelit women’s circle. This is time for you to let go of everyday commitments and experience a sense of joy and appreciation of the natural surroundings.

Lakeland Wellbeing also run luxurious one day rewilding retreats with Armathwaite Hall Hotel, whose grounds are besides a deer park and a beautiful walled garden. The activities such as meditation, and mindfulness with animals make the most of this peaceful, magical part of the Lakes. Lunch involves afternoon tea in the conservatory or outdoor gazebo with amazing views overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake or a meal in the hotel’s stylish bistro.

Full Circle Experiences

Full Circle provides retreat experiences steeped in wellness practices to align you with the natural landscape and restore your sense of peace.

On a Wild Woman Nature Retreat you get to stay in a fairy tale esque wooden, cosy yurt which hugs the lakeland landscape, nestled besides woodlands and mountains, under starlit views.

The retreat activities include wild swimming, a cacao ceremony, yoga and horse meditation. As a (multiple) previous attendee at Full Circle’s meditating with horses events, I can attest how truly soothing it is to bond with these gentle giants, and be guided on a delightful meditative journey.

Full Circle also provide a realm of woodland activity day experiences including foraging and family friendly re-wilding.

Full Circle also functions as a CIC who aims to make retreat experiences inclusive, Katherine Beaumont says ‘we offer a free place in each of our retreats to someone who can benefit from the experience, but may not be able to afford it. We select this person based on their need and enthusiasm for the retreat. We strive to make our retreats accessible to everyone, and we are committed to providing this opportunity to someone who may not have the means to attend otherwise’.

Yoga Sapien Retreats

Jacqui Wallace runs Yoga Sapien, holding yoga classes in the Lakes and retreats in Cumbria and North Wales.

Jacqui says that ”A yoga retreat allows time for you to review what’s important. They provide opportunity for you to rest, relax and unwind.

My retreat settings are places that hold deep meaning because of their connection to nature, local cultures and traditions. I choose the venues carefully, to offer you group intimacy in tranquil settings, and immaculate accommodation”.

What to Expect:

Immersed deep in nature and idyllic surroundings, you can expect multi-disciplines of yoga, meditation, stunning hikes, and relaxed vibes as you fill up on fresh air and nature.

The yoga is suitable for all abilities, whether you’re new to it or want to connect more deeply with your practice. And the walking level is perfect if you love longer, low-level walks, or if you’re new to walking but already do some form of exercise fairly regularly.

Retreats include a minimum of two yoga and meditation classes daily, guided walks and free time to explore, connect with nature, enjoy sumptuous wholesome foods, make new friends, and relax deeply.

Massage course retreat – Lake District School of Massage

This 5 day professional Massage Therapy course at Nab Cottage in Rydal gives you the opportunity to master an effective, healing massage routine, whilst having a holiday in the Lakes at the same time.

During the course you get to learn deep tissue massage and experience lots of massage for yourself, meet new like minded friends, and enjoy exploring this beautiful lakeside area near Ambleside.

You can take part whether you are learning massage as a hobby or professionally.
